+++ To publish an article in the scientific journal “Rehabilitation and Recreation” you should take the following steps no later than May 29, 2026 (inclusively):

- fill in the information about the author at the link;

- send the article meeting the specified requirements and a copy of payment confirmation to health.nnioz@gmail.com

Articles with full English text have priority for acceptance for publication. All articles recommended by the editorial board are published in the journal on a fee basis. Payment is made after the author receives confirmation of editorial board decision on approving the article for publishing. The editors anonymously review articles and check them for plagiarism, and then the authors receive details to pay the publication fee.

! The number of co-authors is limited to four.
The list of co-authors includes only those persons who have really taken part in the research and agreed to bear full responsibility for its content.

Prohibition to refer to the aggressor state’s scholarly papers
It is not allowed to cite in the text and add to the bibliographic lists those sources that have been published since 2014 in russian, as well as sources in other languages, if they are published on the territory of russia and belarus.

The journal’s electronic version becomes publicly available on the website duly.

Journal electronic version will be available on the website before July 30, 2026.

If desired, an author can order a printed copy of the journal. The cost of a printed copy is UAH 800, which is paid in addition to the publication fee.

Authors who ordered a printed copy will receive it before August 30, 2026.

ARTICLE REQUIREMENTS

Language: Ukrainian, Polish, and English

Manuscript Length: From 10 to 40 pages (A4 format, Times New Roman, 14 pt, 1.5 spacing, 1 for tables), all margins – 2 cm, paragraph indention – 1.25 cm. Formatting paragraphs using spaces or tabs is not allowed. In the text, it is necessary to use quotation marks of the following type: “ ”. Hyphenation in the text is prohibited. Pages are not numbered. Dashes (–) and hyphens (-) are clearly differentiated.

Article structure: article title in the source language and English (italics) is aligned middle, below – author’s surname and initials, affiliation in two languages (Ukrainian or Polish and English); abstracts and keywords in two languages (Ukrainian or Polish and English).

Abstracts

The volume of abstracts is 260-400 words (at least 1800 characters).

Abstract structure: purpose, material, findings, and conclusions.

The abstract should act as a source of information independent from the article and clarify its main content. The main volume of the abstract should be the results of the study (at least half of the text).

The English-language abstract should be written in high-quality English; the use of computer translation is prohibited.

The abstracts should meet international standards.

Keywords (5-10, comma separated).

MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION GUIDELINES

General Formatting:

  • Page Setup: All margins (top, bottom, left, right) must be exactly 2 cm.

  • Typography: Use Times New Roman font throughout the document.

  • Line Spacing: 1.5 (one and a half) for the main text; 1.0 (single) inside Tables.

Author Information:

  • Affiliation (Place of Work): For each author, state the full official name of the Institution (University/Clinic), Department, City, and Country.

  • ORCID: Providing the ORCID iD for each author is mandatory.

  • Co-authorship: A manuscript must not have more than four co-authors.

Abstract:

  • Structure: Must include the following headings: Objective, Materials/Methods, Results, Conclusions.

  • Results Section: This section must constitute approximately 50% of the abstract's total volume, including specific numerical data and statistical significance (p-values).

References & Citations:

  • Alphabetical Order: The reference list must be sorted alphabetically (A to Z) by the first author's last name.

  • APA 7 Style: All sources must follow the APA 7th edition standard (italicize journal names and volumes, provide full DOI URLs).

  • In-Text Numbering: In-text citations (e.g., [1], [5]) must strictly correspond to the position of the source in the alphabetized reference list.

Article body text

A scientific article should comprise the following elements:

Introduction. Problem statement, its importance, topic relevance, analysis of recent research and publications; specification of previously unsolved parts of the general problem the article is devoted to.

The purpose of the study.

Materials and methods. Participants, research organization, valid methods.
Research results. Statement of original research material with a detailed description and substantiation of findings (research results with mandatory statistical processing should be presented as tables, graphics, diagrams, or figures. Data in tables should be reliable. A table’s title and name of graphics should meet their contents). Discussion. Data obtained should be compared with one of domestic and foreign scientists.

Conclusions.This section should provide a concise formulation of the research results, as well as an interpretation and generalization of the topic. The conclusions must be succinct (between 150 and 300 words), specific (including key quantitative indicators), well-founded, and outline perspectives for further research. This section should serve as a logical conclusion to the work, providing a clear answer to the stated objective without the use of general phrases. Citations of other authors, the use of tables, figures, or the presentation of data not previously described in the "Results" section are not permitted.

It is necessarily to specify information about the absence of a conflict of interest.

Bibliography. It refers to original sources designed following the national standard of bibliographic description DSTU 8302:2015. DOI is mentioned if any. It is recommended that about 15-35 items (60% of the last five years) meet the research problem; each should be cited in the text. References are indicated in square brackets; they are separated from each other by comma, e.g., [3; 4; 15].

Authors’ works of the last 5-10 years and works submitted before 2014 are cited, but taking into account the fact that it is not allowed to cite in the text and enter into the bibliographic lists those sources published in Russian, as well as sources in other languages, if they published on the territory of russia and belarus. We encourage authors to ethically cite relevant articles published in our journal, if scientifically justified.

References. All references must follow the APA (7th ed.) style APA (American Psychological Association).

Foreign publications mentioned in Bibliography are duplicated.

Article Processing Charge (APC) Policy

All articles published in our journal are Open Access and freely available online immediately upon publication. This is made possible by the Article Processing Charge (APC), which covers the full range of publishing services we provide:

  • 200 USD — for authors affiliated with institutions in low-income and lower-middle-income economies (as defined by the World Bank).
  • 250 USD — for authors from other countries.

Waiver Policy: The journal is committed to bringing the research of scientists from developing countries to the attention of the global academic community. Authors who lack institutional or grant funding may apply for an APC waiver or discount. Note: Decisions on waivers are made on a case-by-case basis and do not affect the editorial review process.

The editors are entitled to reject an article which does not meet the above requirements and is of poor scientific relevance. Also, if the authors do not take into account the comments or suggestions of the reviewers after reviewing, the article will be rejected.
